Evidence from Covid-19 Policy Choices鈥漒n\nThis study examines how Covid-19 shutdown policies affected the supply of live music performance opportunities across the United States. Using a novel panel dataset consisting of 2\,700 city-month observations (2015-2024) and fixed-effects analysis\, it finds that longer shutdowns significantly reduced concerts. The industry-level rebound took over 12 months\, while city-level rebounds took 6 months\, highlighting the persistent effect of shutdown policies on the live music supply.
