Whether it鈥檚 playing on a club sports team, competing in intramurals, taking a fitness class or working out on your own, there are so many opportunities for you to be physically active at Le Moyne.
Club Sports
Le Moyne fields eight teams at the club sports level, offering you the chance to compete as part of a team, without the time commitment of intercollegiate sports. As a member of a club sports team, you鈥檒l compete against other colleges and universities, have regular practices and learn from dedicated coaches.
Intramurals
If you鈥檙e looking to stay in the game and compete in a more recreational setting, playing intramurals is the perfect fit. Games are played on-campus only – create a team with your friends, or join an established team. Sports include basketball, flag football, volleyball, softball and flag football.
For the Love of the Sport
For Delaney Barrigar 鈥�27, horseback riding isn鈥檛 just a hobby鈥攊t鈥檚 a way of life.
She鈥檚 been riding since she was just 2 years old, growing up at her family鈥檚 Brookfield Stables in Jordan, New York. Horses have always been a constant in her life, so when she arrived at Le Moyne, joining the equestrian team was a natural next step. This spring, Delaney competed at the Zone Finals at West Virginia University. While she didn鈥檛 make it to nationals, she鈥檚 proud of everything she and her teammates accomplished this season鈥攊ncluding a fifth place overall finish at a regional show hosted by Saint Lawrence University. Delaney says the sport has taught her so much: the value of hard work, the importance of patience, and what it really means to care for another living being. One day, she hopes to take over her family鈥檚 stable鈥攏ow three generations strong鈥攁nd continue sharing her love of riding with others. 鈥淗orses have given me so much over the years. I can鈥檛 imagine my life without them.鈥�
